The Lodges At The Crown Inn
Tucked just behind the Folly, our lodges look out across the rolling landscapes of Constable Country. Wake to countryside views through Crittall doors at the foot of your super-king bed, soak in a freestanding bath with the view beyond, and step onto your private terrace to take it all in. Quiet, spacious and perfect for a restful trip away.
Large King
Our Large King rooms include a TV, Connock England bathroom products and tea and coffee facilities. Layham is on the ground floor with a super-king bed that can be twinned, and a bath with an overhead power shower.
Medium King
Our Medium King rooms are on the ground floor. Polstead is fully accessible with a level wet room. Each has a king bed, TV, Connock England bathroom products, tea and coffee facilities and a walk-in shower, giving you everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The Angel Inn Deluxe Room
Set on the first floor of the stable annex, our Deluxe Rooms pair comfort with a little extra space. Each features a king-size bed, an en-suite with a walk-in shower and a roll-top bath within the room, screened with frosted glass. A calm, well-appointed setting for an easy, comfortable stay.
The Angel Inn Superking/Twin
These flexible rooms offer a super-king bed that can also be arranged as twins on request. Each has an en-suite with a shower over the bath and is designed for a comfortable, uncomplicated stay, with air conditioning, underfloor heating in the bathroom and a coffee machine to help you settle in.
The Angel Inn Classic
Our Classic Rooms offer a comfortable king-size bed and a well-appointed en-suite with either a walk-in shower or shower over the bath. Thoughtfully designed for a relaxed stay, each room includes air conditioning, a coffee machine and Connock products, making it an easy place to settle in for the night.

We’ve worked with Connock England to create Verdant, a scent inspired by the countryside around us. Fresh and green, it blends blackcurrant, English rose and fig with citrus and gentle woods. You’ll find it throughout our rooms, and it’s available to buy if you’d like to take it home.
