BEDROOMS
We opened our pub with rooms in 2008. Across the courtyard, to the rear of the pub, you will find The Folly. With 11 beautifully individually refurbished bedrooms, featuring ensuite bathrooms, a keen attention to detail and effortless style.
After a long country walk, stay in one of our Good, Better, or Even Better bedrooms. Or for something a little more special, reserve our Best bedroom.
With a light and spacious lobby and attentive team on hand, your stay promises rest, relaxation and comfort.
Bathroom amenities include hand and body wash, lotion, shampoo and conditioner from Connock England. The Verdant fragrance collection was created for our guests and inspired by the countryside in our region.
Most of our ground floor bedrooms are dog friendly. Please let us know if you're bringing along your furry friend.
BETTER ROOMS
Looking for a little extra room? Our Better rooms are ideal for those wanting a spacious and airy space to rest their head after exploring the Dedham Vale.

Shelley - an upstairs bedroom with a King Bed and a power shower over a bathtub

Mistley - an upstairs bedroom with a Super King Bed, a bathtub and a walk-in shower. Features a skylight and a large window for a light and airy feel; however, it does not have a view.
Each of our Better bedrooms includes a TV, complimentary Connock products, free Wi-Fi, a desk area, storage space and tea and coffee making facilities.
GOOD ROOMS
Travelling alone or looking for a romantic night’s stay? Our cosy Good bedrooms are all on the ground floor. Every room is stylised with light tones and delicate touches to make your stay extra special.
Each room features a King Size bed, TV, tea and coffee making facilities, desk space, free Wi-Fi, storage facilities, complimentary Connock products and a walk-in shower.
Polstead is a fully accessible medium bedroom with doors opening onto the terrace and includes a floor-level wet room.
EVEN BETTER ROOMS
Once you’ve been exploring all the things to do surrounding our delightful pub, you will need a place to rest. Stretch out and relax a little longer in our Even Better rooms.
Each of these bedrooms features a luxury ensuite with a separate bathtub and walk-in shower.

BEST ROOM
Indulge in luxury with Dedham, our Best bedroom, enjoyed best for a longer break as a countryside escape. Designed with soft linen, attention to detail and scenic views. Dedham features French windows that lead out to its own private terrace.
It is a downstairs spacious room with a Super King Size bed, TV, free Wi-Fi, complimentary Connock products, seating area, walk-in shower and a separate bathtub.
LUXURY LODGE BEDROOMS
Tucked behind the pub and with uninterrupted views of Constable Country, our three new bedrooms are your escape to rural relaxation.
To set the scene, the luxury bedrooms feature earthy tones, rustic charm, oak floors, and wide-opening Crittall doors.
Inside, you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable, restful stay: a Super King bed, a freestanding bath with countryside views, a large separate shower and double sink, free Wifi, Connock products, a flat screen TV, a Roberts radio, and a Nespresso coffee machine.
Step outside onto your private terrace, with a bistro-style table, chairs and a sun lounger made for enjoying the view.

JOINING US FOR BREAKFAST?
Why let your relaxing escape stop there? Head down for breakfast at the pub restaurant and enjoy a cooked full English, crushed avocado and poached eggs or even just a continental breakfast with loved ones. You could even pop by again for a roast after an adventure or cosy up for the evening before your stay and join us for an extra special dinner. We also have a range of offers and packages.
CONNOCK ENGLAND
In our bedrooms and communal spaces, we have worked closely alongside our fragrance partner, Connock England, to create a scent that evokes a sense of place.
The Verdant fragrance collection was created for our guests and inspired by the countryside in our region. It is a fresh, green fragrance crafted using a vibrant blend of essential oils to capture the essence of the place we call home.
Verdant has notes of blackcurrant, English rose and fig that are layered with uplifting citrus, eucalyptus and peppermint, with grounding undertones of sandalwood and amber adding warmth and depth.
