The Crown, a boutique hotel located in Stoke-by-Nayland, Suffolk, enjoys views over some particularly beautiful countryside. The picturesque village was build on a hill above the Stour and Box river valleys on the Suffolk/Essex border. The 120-foot tower of St. Mary’s Church is a local landmark, featuring in the works of 18th century landscape artist, John Constable.

The surrounding Dedham Vale was immortalised by Constable, which is now designated as ‘an area of outstanding natural beauty’. This Suffolk restaurant was re-opened, following a renovation in 2003, with a mission to provide good, tasty food, fine wine and a welcoming atmosphere, and it’s done exactly that! The hotel was opened in 2008, and still feels as new and as fresh as it did back then!

Despite its rural location, The Crown is a hotel with excellent transport links across Suffolk, the rest of East Anglia, and up to London. For more information on the surrounding area, simply follow this link, or call 01206 262001.
