With London hotels increasing their rates in some cases fourfold, it makes sense to find accommodation outside the capital but within easy striking distance of the various venues.  Trains from Colchester to Stratford take as little as 40 minutes so it’s as quick to get to the Olympic Stadium from here as it would be from many parts of London – and, after a hectic day, you would be returning to the peace and quiet of the Suffolk countryside.  Our Olympic rates will include a shuttle service to and from Colchester station to make your days even easier to plan.

Many people will not have been lucky enough to get tickets for every day; staying at The Crown will give you the chance to explore and enjoy rural East Anglia on your “days off” – and there’s plenty to see and do!
